A controlled release container comprises: an outer shell, at least a portion of which comprises a biodegradable polymeric material having a predetermined rate of degradation; and a core enclosed by the outer shell, the core comprising at least one bioactive molecule as an active ingredient optionally admixed with one or more pharmaceutically or veterinarily acceptable carriers and/or excipients; wherein the portion of said outer shell preferably is non- porous, and provides a predetermined delay in the time period of release of the active ingredient.

L'invention concerne un contenant à libération lente, comprenant: une enveloppe extérieure dont au moins une partie comprend un matériau polymère biodégradable présentant un taux de dégradation prédéterminé; et un noyau entouré par l'enveloppe extérieure, ce noyau comprenant au moins une molécule bioactive, sous forme de principe actif mélangé, le cas échéant, à au moins un excipient pharmaceutiquement et vétérinairement acceptable. Cette partie de l'enveloppe extérieure est de préférence non poreuse et entraîne un retard prédéterminé dans la période de libération du principe actif.
