A method for controlling the deposition of foulants such as polynuclear aromatic compounds on the internal surfaces of equipment in a processing train used to process a product stream obtained by dehydrogenating an aliphatic compound containing from 2 to 5 carbon atoms wherein there is introduced into the processing train an effective amount of a liquid solvent having at least one hydroxyl group and a minimum boiling point of about 64.7 °C, the solvent being passed through at least a portion of the processing train, after which it is removed from the processing train.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de lutter contre le dépôt de salissures telles que les composés aromatiques polynucléaires sur les surfaces internes de l'équipement faisant partie d'un train de traitement utilisé pour traiter un flux de produit obtenu par la déshydrogénation d'un composé aliphatique qui contient entre 2 et 5 atomes de carbone. Selon l'invention, on introduit dans le train de traitement une quantité efficace d'un solvant liquide qui possède au moins un groupe hydroxyle et un point d'ébullition minimal d'environ 64,7 DEG C. On fait passer le solvant à travers au moins une partie du train de traitement puis on l'évacue dudit train de traitement.
