CONTROLLING THE CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF ZEOLITES ABSTRACT In a method for controlling the catalytic activity of a composition comprising a high silica content large pore zeolite containing from 0.1 wt% to 2.5 wt% of framework boron, the zeolite is contacted with an aqueous solution of a salt of a metal selected from nickel, cobalt, indium and those of Groups IB, IIB, IIIB, IVA, IVB, and VIA of the Periodic Table of Elements under conditions effective to remove boron from said composition.
