A ventilation or exhaust system, having ducting, and a fan assembly for placement in ducting of a ventilation or exhaust system for an environment space. The fan assembly has a motor having an output shaft, a fan mounted on the output shaft, and a brake mounted for operation on the motor. The brake is operable for stopping rotation of the motor upon a detection of a prescribed situation one or more of: the environmental space, and the ducting. Also included is a valve assembly having a valve member for placement in the ducting for movement between a first position where the ducting is substantially open, and a second position where the ducting is substantially closed. The valve member is adapted to move from the first position to the second position in response to at least one detection of a prescribed situation. At least one detector is provided for detecting a prescribed situation, the detector being for controlling the operation of the brake of the fan assembly, and the valve assembly, in response to the detecting.
La présente invention concerne un système de ventilation ou d'échappement, comportant une canalisation, et un ensemble de ventilateur destiné à être installé dans la canalisation d'un système de ventilation ou d'échappement pour un espace d'environnement. L'ensemble de ventilateur comporte un moteur ayant un arbre de sortie, un ventilateur monté sur l'arbre de sortie, et un frein monté pour opérer sur le moteur. Le frein sert à stopper la rotation du moteur lors d'une détection d'une situation prédéterminée d'un parmi les éléments suivants: l'espace environnemental, et la canalisation. L'invention concerne également un ensemble de vanne destiné à être installé dans la canalisation pour se déplacer entre une première position dans laquelle la canalisation est sensiblement ouverte, et une seconde position, dans laquelle la canalisation est sensiblement fermée. L'organe de vanne est apte à se déplacer depuis la première position vers la seconde position en réponse à au moins une détection d'une situation prédéterminée. Au moins un détecteur est prévu permettant la détection d'une situation prédéterminée, ledit détecteur étant destiné à la commande du fonctionnement du frein de l'ensemble de ventilateur, et de l'ensemble de vanne, en réponse à la détection.
