RSIS is now found. The expression of a target gene can be inhibited by inserting RSIS to any boundary among a promoter sequence derived from the target gene, a 5'-terminal sequence of mRNA for the target gene and a terminator sequence for the target gene following the termination codon and including 3'-UTR. It is also found that the expression of two different genes can be inhibited simultaneously in a cell in which promoters derived from the genes can act, by using the promoters and the terminators derived from the genes and parts of mRNA molecules for the genes.

RSIS a été découvert. L'invention propose l'inhibition de l'expression d'un gène cible par insertion de RSIS dans toute frontière entre une séquence promotrice dérivée du gène cible, une séquence 5' terminale d'ARNm du gène cible et une séquence de terminaison du gène cible après le codon de terminaison et y compris l'UTR en 3'. L'invention a également permis de découvrir que l'expression de deux gènes différents pouvait être inhibée simultanément dans une cellule dans laquelle des promoteurs dérivés des gènes pouvaient agir, en utilisant les promoteurs et les terminateurs dérivés des gènes et des parties de molécules d'ARNm des gènes.
