A method and apparatus for providing mobile and electronic commerce, customer care and communication services via networks, including receiving in a roaming network an identification number and a request for a service, forwarding to a home network the identification number, the request for the service, and a cost/rate of the service, verifying, by a convergent communication platform located on the home network, that the identification number relates to a valid user account, that a user device is authorized to receive the service, and that the valid user account has sufficient value, providing an authorization to the service provider, and charging the valid user account on a real time basis. The convergent communications system employs a rule set usable in determining at least one rule applicable for authorizing a transaction and debiting an account of the authorized user according to the at least one rule, in real time.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de commerce mobile et électronique, de service client et de service de communication par l'intermédiaire de réseaux. Ledit procédé consiste à recevoir dans un réseau itinérant un numéro d'identification et une demande de service, à faire suivre à un réseau local le numéro d'identification, la demande de service et un coût/tarif de service, à vérifier à l'aide d'une plate-forme de communication convergente située dans le réseau local que le numéro d'identification est associé à un compte utilisateur valide, qu'un dispositif utilisateur est autorisé à recevoir le service, et que le compte d'utilisateur valide possède une valeur suffisante, à fournir une autorisation au fournisseur de service, et à charger le compte utilisateur valide en temps réel. Le système de communication convergente utilise un ensemble de règles permettant de déterminer au moins une règle applicable pour autoriser une transaction et débiter le compte de l'utilisateur autorisé en fonction de ladite règle et en temps réel.
