- 53 - CONVERSION OF SYNGAS TO LIQUID MOTOR FUELS Abstract of the Disclosure Synthesis gas comprising carbon monoxide and hydrogen is converted to C5 hydrocarbons suitable for use as liquid motor fuels by contact with a dual catalyst composition capable of ensuring the production of only relatively minor amounts of heavy products boiling beyond the diesel oil range. The catalyst composition, having desirable stability during continuous production operation, employs a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst, together with a co-catalyst/support component. The latter component is a steam-stabilized zeolite Y catalyst of hydrophobic character, desirably in acid-extracted form. D-13,546-C
