A specially constructed bathroom for physically impaired people wherein the bathroom has waterproof walls and an entrance, a pocket door and door sill disposed in said entrance and sealed against passage of moisture. A telescopically mounted basin is provided with manual or hydraulically operated raising and lowering means for selectively adjusting the height of said basin to accommodate the needs of handicapped and impaired individuals. The basin also may have timed means for returning the basin to a predetermined height after each use.
