A bicycle trailer is convertible between a trailing configuration and a riding configuration by the addition or removal of a front fork assembly or hitching assembly to a frame assembly. The frame assembly has a ground engaging wheel, a seat and mechanical means for powering the ground engaging wheel, and, opposite the wheel, a connection means for interchangeably connecting a hitching assembly or a fork assembly. The hitching assembly connects the convertible bicycle trailer to a towing bicycle. The fork assembly has handle bars, pivotally connected thereto, a stem assembly connected to the handle bars, bicycle forks connected to the handle bars, and a ground engaging wheel rotatably connected to the bicycle forks. The operator selectively attaches either the hitching assembly to use as a trailer or the fork assembly to use as a bicycle. -8-
