ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A carrier bag is disclosed herein which is convertible between a handbag configuration and a garment supported configuration. The bag comprises at least one and preferably two pouches together with a vest for supporting the pouch or pouches in close proximity to the torso of the wearer. A vest storage compartment is provided in the pouch and the vest is adapted to fit within the storage compartment so that the pouch may assume its handbag configuration.
