A convertible carrier consisting of a wallet having two hinged sections which fold together to form a closeable compartment therebetween. A sack-like container formed from a soft pliable sheet material is attached to the two hinged sections and stored within the closed compartment. The compartment may be opened to withdraw the container. The sack-like container is in the form of a satchel, backpack or tote bag. The satchel is configured so that the wallet portion is secure when using the satchel.
