A convertible organizer tote bag (10) that has a central U-shaped or sling compartment (78) and two side storage panels (30, 32) on opposing sides with lifting handles (64, 66) located between the compartment (78) and each side storage panel (30, 32). The bag converts from its bag configuration to a seat cover with the side storage panels extending downward and is returned to its bag configuration by lifting the handles (64, 66).
