-16- CONVERTIBLE OUTERWEAR AND CARRYING BAG Abstract There is disclosed a convertible outerwear gar- ment which includes a topologically continuous carrying bag and pouch. The carrying bag comprises a pocket se- cured to an interior surface of the outerwear at a longi- tudinally extending garment opening overlying a corre- sponding opening in the pocket. A carrying bag is pro- vided by inverting the pocket through the garment opening, the carrying bag receiving the topologically continuous outer garment. To this end, the carrying bag is provided with a volume capacity substantially larger than that required for receiving the outerwear and an opening ex- tending substantially across the width of the outer gar- ment. A pouch is provided by a pouch pocket secured in topologically continuous relation to the carrying bag pocket. When neither outerwear nor a carrying bag is required, the garment and carrying bag pocket are stored compactly in the pouch.
