A convertible protective top for a vehicle. The top including a retractable canopy and at least two mounting brackets. The canopy indudes at least two spaced- apart side members; at least two spaced-apart cross-members, and a cover attached to the cross-members. The cross-members are positioned between and slidably engaged with the side members, wherein the cross-members and cover are moved along the side members to retract the cover. The mounting brackets are attached to a front end and a rear end of the vehicle. Each of the mounting brackets include at least two vertical tubular members for receiving respective ones of the side members for securing the canopy to the vehicle.

La présente invention concerne un toit de protection convertible pour un véhicule. Ce toit comprend un auvent rétractable et au moins deux supports de montage. Cet auvent présente au moins deux éléments latéraux éloignés, au moins deux éléments transversaux éloignés et une couverture attachée aux éléments transversaux. Les éléments transversaux sont placés entre les éléments latéraux et viennent en prise avec ceux-ci en coulissant. Les éléments transversaux et la couverture sont déplacés le long des éléments latéraux afin de replier la couverture. Les supports de montage sont attachés à une extrémité avant et à une extrémité arrière du véhicule. Chacun de ces supports de montage comprend au moins deux éléments tubulaires verticaux qui sont conçus pour recevoir respectivement un des éléments latéraux afin de fixer ledit auvent sur le véhicule.
