ABSTRACT The invention relates to a conveying apparatus for con- veying tree trunks through a measuring means in which the conveying apparatus comprises at least one transport chain and a plurality of drivers driven by the chain for receiving the trunks, the drivers sliding on a guide track. To ensure a reliable supporting of the tree trunks on the drivers during transport through the measuring means and thus prevent tilting of the tree trunks, the invention pro- poses that the drivers are spaced apart in the conveying direction of the chain and the engaging face of the drivers for receiving the tree trunks perpendicularly to the con- veying direction of the chain extends inclined, at least two dirvers having oppositely extending inclines in the conveying region.
