ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In conveying systems with a continuous chain to transport load problems have arisen over the space required for turnover rollers to effect changes of direction, the difficulty of accomplishing non-planar changes of direction and the cost of turnover rollers. This system provides a tubular guide which enables three dimensional direction changes at any selected locations to be made to a load guided by and running along the tubular guide. The chain driven by a toothed drive wheel is guided through a tubular guide by spherical sliders on the chain and a connecting piece on the chain projects through an elongate slit extending along the tubular guide to traverse the system on operation of the drive wheel which has indentations engaging the sliders to transport the chain. Instead of sliders the cable may be guided by internal guide discs in the tubular guide.
