A conveying system in a production line for conveying a plurality of objects is disclosed. The conveying route comprises first rails and second railsr, extending in the different directions and intersect with each other. Each object has a driven portion including a moveable section pivotably supported on the objects. A first conveyor has a mechanism for advancing the rollers pressed against the driven portion toward an intersection when the object comes on the first rails near the intersection, and for retracting the rollers to cause them to remove from the driven portion when the object comes onto the intersection. A second conveyor has a mechanism for retracting the rollers toward the intersection when the object comes onto the intersection, and for advancing the rollers toward the second conveyor when both rollers are pressed against the driven portion of the object on the intersection. The intersection has a mechanism for turning the movable section from the extending direction of the first rails to the extending direction of the second rails for changing the conveying direction of the object.
