CONVEYOR BELT SHIFTING APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In order to facilitate the relocation of conveyor belt apparatus of the long run type mounted on skids, such as may be found transporting vast quantities of mined materials in open pit mining operations, a crawler tractor is fitted with a frame carrying a hydraulic cylinder which is cable-coupled to the conveyor. Relocating is effected by driving the tractor back and forth parallel to the conveyor and employing the shifting apparatus to provide a lifting effort in conjunction with a sideways pull to urge the conveyor toward the desired new location.
