ABSTRACT CONVEYOR BELT A conveyor belt of the honeycomb type in which open-work belt sections 2 of cranked or wavey form extend between and intermesh pivotally at transverse rods l which pass through apertures in longitudinal components 4 of the belt sections and extend alongside main cross components 3 of the belt sections joined in staggered relationship to the ends of the longitudinal components, is strengthened laterally against distortion by additional cross components 5 which extend between and are joined to the longitudinal components at the opposite sides of the transverse rods to the main cross components. The belt sections are preferably unitary plastics mouldings. As illustrated the belt sections each extend across the full width of the belt and the longitudinal components at the sides of the belt have sockets 14 defined at their free ends which receive the opposite ends of the transverse rods and retain the transverse rods to the belt sections.
