A module for a modular conveyor mat, comprising a sheet metal body part (2) bent-over, in cross section, into a substantially inversed U-shape, wherein the connecting part of the U forms a conveying face and wherein the legs of the U form side faces (6, 7) located adjacent longitudinal edges of the conveying face, extending downwards relative to the conveying face, which side faces are provided adjacent the front and rear side (8, 9) of the body part (2) with openings (10) for receiving hinge pins (22) therethrough.

L'invention a pour objet un tapis transporteur modulaire comprenant une partie corps (2) faite d'une feuille métallique repliée en section transversale pour prendre sensiblement une forme de U inversé, la partie de liaison du U constituant une face transporteuse et les jambes du U formant des faces latérales (6, 7) adjacentes aux bords longitudinaux de la face transporteuse par rapport à laquelle elles s'étendent vers le bas, lesdites faces latérales étant adjacentes aux faces avant et arrière (8, 9) de la partie corps (2) avec des ouvertures (10) destinées à recevoir des axes de charnière (22) les traversant.
