ABSTRACT Cooking apparatus specifically for use in a microwave oven is disclosed which comprises a base having a tray-like portion bounded by an upstanding peripheral wall and from which portion a handle protrudes. The tray-like portion provides spaces for receiving elements each of which is formed with a bore for receiving a toothpick on which a marshmallow to be cooked is impaled. Each element can be of hollow form and can have therein a tube filled with neon gas.
