-17- Abstract of the Disclosure A high frequency heating apparatus comprises an oven for receiving a foodstuff to be cooked, a high frequency generator for supplying high frequency wave to the food- stuff, a steam generator for supplying steam to the food- stuff, and a control circuit. The control circuit operates so as to drive only the selected one of the high frequency generator and the steam generator or to drive first the steam generator and then the high frequency generator.
