The electric resistance heating element includes a sinuous-shaped element having a front side flank portion and a front side flank portion and at least one front side interior portion. The at least one front side interior portion is disposed intermediate the front side flank portion and the front side flank portion as viewed in a width direction perpendicular to the depth direction of the oven from the front of the oven to the rear of the oven and the front side flank portion and the front side flank portion each being located closer to the front of the oven than the at least one front side interior portion.
