A cooking device for facilitating the cooking of foodstuffs on a hot plate or other heatable flat surface, comprises a heatable plate or like member of thermally conductive material having a handle of thermally insulating or poory conductive material or thermally insulated from the plate to enable the plate to be manually placed on a heated surface to be heated and then placed on top of a foodstuff on a hot plate.

Ledit dispositif de cuisson comporte une plaque pouvant chauffer ou un élément analogue de matériau thermoconducteur dont la poignée est faite d'un matériau thermo-isolant ou faiblement conducteur ou thermiquement isolé de la plaque afin de permettre de placer manuellement la plaque sur une surface chauffante afin d'être chauffée, puis au-dessus d'un produit alimentaire sur une plaque chauffante.
