A sandwich toaster of generally conventional form is provided with metallic liners (19 and 20) that fit snugly against opposing heatable surfaces of platens (15 and 16). The liners are preformed into self supporting shapes that match the heatable surfaces of the platens. The liners may be readily removed for washing and cleaning, or replacement when necessary.

L'invention concerne un grille-sandwich de forme généralement classique, qui comporte des garnitures (19, 20) métalliques s'insérant à fleur contre des surfaces chauffantes opposées de plaques (15 et 16). Les garnitures sont préfaçonnées en formes autonomes qui correspondent aux surfaces chauffantes des plaques. On peut enlever facilement les garnitures pour les laver et les nettoyer, ou les remplacer si nécessaire.
