Abstract of the Invention A family of gun propellants formulated with triamino- guanidine nitrate and cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine to reduce the isochoric flame temperature while providing high mass impetus. The invention overcomes the problem of gun barrel warping by providing a 20% to 30% lower isochoric flame temperature than those of conventional military propellants, while yielding comparable or higher mass impetus.
