A coolant pump housing for an internal combustion engine includes a cover (10) having integral supports (70, 72) for an ignition module. Each ignition module support projects outwardly to define an elongated member having a mounting end (74, 75) defining a bore (76, 77) sized to receive fasteners for securing an ignition module. Preferably, the coolant pump cover (10) is cast of aluminum. The cover (10) further a pump cavity (41) in fluid communication with inlet (44) and outlet (46) passageways having respective ports (50, 48) for communication of coolant through the coolant pump and the rest of the cooling system.

L'invention concerne un carter de pompe à liquide de refroidissement pour moteur à combustion interne, qui comprend un couvercle (10) équipé de supports intégrés (70, 72) pour module d'allumage. Chacun desdits supports pour module d'allumage fait saillie vers l'extérieur de manière à définir un élément allongé dont l'extrémité (74, 75) de montage définit un alésage (76, 77) calibré pour permettre le logement d'éléments d'attache destinés à fixer le module d'allumage. De préférence, le couvercle (10) de la pompe à liquide de refroidissement est coulé en aluminium. Ledit couvercle (10) comporte également une cavité (41) de pompe en communication fluidique avec des passages d'entrée (44) et de sortie (46) percés respectivement d'orifices (50, 48) destinés à assurer la communication du liquide de refroidissement dans toute la pompe ainsi que dans le reste du système de refroidissement.
