A method for cooling an electronic device in an aircraft (11) is proposed, comprising the following steps: - circulating a coolant in a cooling circuit, - cooling the electronic device (2) by means of a coolant and - emitting the heat absorbed by the coolant in an aircraft outer skin heat exchanger. The coolant at least partially evaporates during the cooling of the electronic device (2) and condenses in the aircraft outer skin heat exchanger (7). The coolant circulates on account of natural convection in the coolant circuit. Image
