A cooling control device capable of preventing such a problem that an internal combustion engine is overheated and ensuring the display of its fail-safe function, wherein a coil-shaped spring member (45) is wound on a valve stem (27) of a butterfly valve (26) for regulating the flow rate of cooling water, both ends of the spring member are engaged with pin members (27a, 27b) installed in the valve stem (27), the pin member (27a) is formed of a material fused when the temperature rises beyond a specified limit and the pin member (27a) is fused when the cooling water temperature is raised to a specified limit, thus one end part (45a) of the spring member (45) is brought in contact with an engaging pin (25a) projecting toward the valve stem (27) by a return force of the spring member so as to rotate the valve stem (27) in the opening direction of the butterfly valve (26) by a reaction, whereby the cooling water can be circulated sufficiently so as to prevent such a problem that an engine is overheated.

Ce dispositif de commande de refroidissement sert à empêcher l'apparition d'un problème tel qu'une surchauffe d'un moteur à combustion interne et à assurer l'affichage de sa fonction d'autoprotection. A cet effet, un ressort en forme de spirale (45) est enroulé sur la tige (27) d'une soupape papillon (26), afin de réguler le débit de l'eau de refroidissement, les deux extrémités de ce ressort sont placées en prise avec des broches (27a, 27b) situées sur la tige de soupape (27), la broche (27a) est constituée d'un matériau qui fond lorsque la température dépasse une limite spécifiée et la broche (27a) fond lorsque la température de l'eau de refroidissement dépasse une limite spécifiée, de sorte qu'une partie terminale (45a) du ressort (45) est mise en contact avec une broche (25a) faisant saillie vers la tige de soupape (27) sous l'action d'une force de retour du ressort, afin de mettre en rotation la tige de soupape (27) dans la direction d'ouverture de la soupape papillon (26) par réaction. Ainsi, l'eau de refroidissement peut être suffisamment mise en circulation pour empêcher l'apparition d'un problème tel qu'une surchauffe du moteur.
