ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cooling device for a bearing assembly is provided wherein a bearing support adapted to secure the bearing in posi- tion is formed with a hollow chamber therein. A working fluid such as ammonia, fluorocarbon, etc. in the hollow chamber is adapted to cool the bearing by evaporation when the bearing means generates heat, the evaporated working fluid being fed to a radi- ating means where it is condensed and the condensed working fluid is returned to the hollow chamber to be recycled.
