The invention concerns a cooling element (2) comprising intake and discharge means (29) for a heat transfer fluid and an internal volume for the fluid to circulate. Said element (2) is made of an electrically insulating material, and comprises at least an opening (28) communicating said internal volume with said element outer part, a periphery (24) of said at least opening (28) forming a seat for receiving, with inserted sealing means, at least a base of said electronic power device to be cooled. Said element has a reduced volume compared to those of prior art.
