COOLING LINER FOR AN EXHAUST NOZZLE Abstract of the Disclosure An exhaust nozzle is set forth having main flaps which have seals therebetween, said flaps and seals being constructed to form a liner and provide for cooling air therethrough to cool the nozzle. Each flap and seal is constructed having inner and outer members which cooperate to form a liner for cooling air therethrough which extends substantially around the entire circumference of the liner. This construction provides means having cooling airflow therein that is compatible with nozzle diameter change. While the seal basically floats, means are provided to maintain it in place longitudinally and circumferentially so that leakage does not occur between the flaps and a circumferential liner is formed between the flaps and seals for cooling. The coolant flows through the flaps and seals of the convergent section of the nozzle and is directed over the divergent section of the nozzle.
