Disclosed is a method for cooling a roller device (1), especially billet- guiding rollers, table rollers, conveying rollers, supporting rollers, or driving rollers in continuous casting plants, comprising a right bearing housing (2), a left bearing housing (3), and a roller (4) which is rotatably mounted within the bearing housing (2, 3) by means of journals (11, 12). According to the inventive method, a cooling medium is directed through an axial bore located in the roller (4) while additionally cooling the bearings (13, 14) that are mounted in the bearing housings (2, 3) . The invention also relates to a corresponding roller device (1).

L'invention concerne un procédé pour le refroidissement d'un dispositif à rouleau (1) constitué d'un logement de palier droit (2), d'un logement de palier gauche (3) et d'un rouleau (4) logé rotatif dans les logements de palier (2, 3) au moyen de tourillons (11, 12), notamment pour le refroidissement de rouleaux de guidage de brin, de ligne de rouleaux, de transport, d'appui ou d'entraînement dans des installations de coulée continue, un milieu de refroidissement étant mené à travers un alésage axial dans le rouleau (4). Selon l'invention, le milieu de refroidissement refroidit en outre les paliers (13, 14) insérés dans les logements de palier (2, 3).
