The invention relates to a cooling station for disk-shaped substrates, especially for injection-moulded substrates of optically readable data carriers such as CDs, CD-RS, DVDs, CD singles, DVD singles and similar. At least three cooling spindles (2, 3, 4, 5) are provided and are set apart from each other and arranged parallel to each other in such a way that one substrate is contact with all of the cooling spindles simultaneously. Driving means (6, 7, 8) are also provided for rotating the cooling spindles. The invention is characterised in that each cooling spindle has at least two threads (9, 10) with thread undercuts of different widths. In this way, substrates of different thickness can be accommodated in the same cooling station, e.g., CD and DVD substrates. Alternatively or additionally, four or more cooling spindles can be provided and arranged in such a way in relation to each other that three cooling spindles are each provided with a particular diameter for transporting substrates. In this way, substrates with a different diameter, e.g. standard CDs and CD-singles, can be accommodated in the same cooling station.
Poste de refroidissement pour substrats en forme de disque, en particulier pour substrats moulés par injection de supports de données à lecture optique tels que CD, CD-R, DVD, CD simples, DVD simples et analogues. Ledit poste possède au moins trois broches de refroidissement (2, 3, 4, 5) qui sont situées à distance les unes des autres et placées parallèlement les unes aux autres de manière telle qu'un substrat est simultanément adjacent à toutes les broches. En outre, des moyens d'entraînement (6, 7, 8) sont destinés à faire tourner lesdites broches. La présente invention se caractérise en ce que chaque broche de refroidissement possède au moins deux filets (9, 10) dont les gorges présentent une largeur différente. Ainsi, des substrats d'épaisseur différente, par ex. des CD et des DVD, peuvent être reçus dans le même poste de refroidissement. Alternativement ou en plus, ledit poste peut posséder quatre broches de refroidissement ou plus, ainsi placées les unes par rapport aux autres que trois broches sont à chaque fois destinées au transport de substrats d'un diamètre déterminé. De cette manière, des substrats de différents diamètres, par ex. des CD standard et des CD simples peuvent être reçus dans un même poste de refroidissement.
