A closed loop refrigeration cooling system in which the condenser comprises a plurality of vertically disposed tubes and means connecting the same in parallel in the closed loop refrigerant circuit. A liquid refrigerant pump i.s located in the refrigerant line from the condenser to the evaporator, for operation during preselected conditions, to maintain a preselected refrigerant pressure during those conditions. The pump is by passed by a one way flow control valued circuit for summer operation. The compressor is by passed by a one way flow control valued circuit permitting the system to operate in a free cooling mode when conditions are appropriate to do so.
