A system for scanning objects having a linear array sensor, adapted to detect light input signals, is provided. A lens is optically connected to the linear array sensor, and is adapted to receive and transmit an optical image located in a field of view along a lens axis to the linear array sensor. A light source which generates an illumination stripe in general linear alignment with the lens axis is provided. A cylindrical lens is positioned between the light source and an object to be scanned. The cylindrical lens adapted to collect, transmit and focus light from the light source to form the illumination stripe.

L'invention concerne un système de balayage d'objets pourvu d'un capteur en barrette, destiné à détecter des signaux d'entrée de lumière. Une lentille est optiquement reliée au capteur en barrette et permet de recevoir et de transmettre une image optique située dans un champ de vision le long d'un axe de lentille au capteur en barrette. Le système selon l'invention comporte également une source de lumière produisant une bande d'éclairement alignée de manière essentiellement linéaire par rapport à l'axe de lentille. Une lentille cylindrique est disposée entre la source de lumière et l'objet devant être balayé. Cette lentille cylindrique est destinée à collecter, à transmettre et à focaliser la lumière provenant de la source de lumière afin de former la bande d'éclairement.
