ABSTRACT Copolyesters of iso- or terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, 1,3 bis(2-hydroxyethoxy) benzene, and possibly other diols, have lower O2 and CO2 permeabilities because of the 1,3 bis(2- hydroxyethoxy) benezene reactant. Also disclosed are hollow containers, sheet and film made from such copolyesters.
