ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a novel toothpaste and more particularly, to a new toothpaste which includes a finely divided synthetic plastic material as a polishing agent and at least one copper compound. This toothpaste has proven effective against plaque formation on teeth but does not exhibit any of the untoward side effects of the prior art formulations such as discolouring.
