ABSTRACT: A cord reel with a mechanical section, comprising a rotatable cord drum, which drum is rota- tably journalled on a hollow journal which is secured to a frame with one end, and which drum is axially retained between the frame and a bearing plate which is secured to the other free end of the journal, a spring being tensioned between drum and frame for auto- matically winding the cord, and having an electrical section comprising rotary electrical couplings which can be fitted in the journal from the free end thereof.
