ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A core box has at least a top section and a bottom section, and one of the core box sections has one of more holes penetrating through a wall of the section. A flat plate is mounted in a sliding relationship on the exterior of the wall of the section, the flat plate having one or more holes partially penetrating therethrough aligned with and corresponding in diameter to the holes in the wall of the core box section and terminating in the flat plate in grooves intersecting the axis of the holes at a predetermined slanted angle. Slant headed pins are slidably positioned in the holes in the core box section and extending into the flat plate, the heads of the pins being slanted to the axis of the pins and adapted to engage the grooves in the flat plate. A rod extends laterally from the plate whereby reciprocation of the rod causes the plate to reciprocate and correspondingly the pins are extended into or withdrawn from the interior of the core box section.
