ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A transfer carriage for a core transfer apparatus for cast tires, comprising: a frame having vertically extending guide means, a saddle member carried by said frame and adapted to move between first and second vertical positions relative thereto in movement guided by the guide means, first and second supporting pad members carried by the saddle member, each pad member having a first tire core engaging surface and a second tire tread ring engaging surface, and means for moving the saddle member between the first and second vertical positions.
