ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A coreless paper roll has innermost plies defining a substantially rigidified, non-collapsible aperture having a polygonal cross-sectional configuration for removably accom- modating a paper holder. All of the paper of the paper roll, including the innermost plies, can be unrolled for a predeter- mined paper use and the aperture is defined by means of cir- cumferentially arranged, alternately displaced radially out- wardly extending constrictions and radially inwardly extending bulged portions which have been partially collapsed radially inwardly to a predetermined final extent.
