A corneal prosthesis device positionable in the cornea is disclosed. The device includes a substantially cylindrical optical portion (10) made of a first transparent material and having a front optical dioptric surface (14) and a rear end (16), a front ring-shaped skirt (18) projecting from the side wall of the optical portion and made of a biocompatible and biocolonisable synthetic polymer that is different from the first material, and a rear ring-shaped skirt (20) projecting from the side wall of the optical portion and made of said first material.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de kératoprothèse pour être mis en place dans la cornée. La kératoprothèse comprend une partie optique (10) en un premier matériau transparent de forme sensiblement cylindrique présentant une face antérieure (14) définissant un dioptre optique et une extrémité postérieure (16), une jupe antérieure (18) annulaire faisant saillie hors de la paroi latérale de la partie optique et réalisée en un polymère de synthèse bio-compatible et bio-colonisable distinct dudit premier matériau et une jupe annulaire postérieure (20) faisant saillie hors de la paroi latérale de la partie optique et réalisée avec ledit premier matériau.
