The present invention relates to a corneal subepithelial opacity (haze) inhibitor comprising as the active ingredient N-(3,4-dimethoxycinnamoyl)anthranilic acid represented by the formula: (see formula I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful for the prevention or treatment of corneal subepithelial opacity (haze) caused by a wound during the operation of refractive surgery such as keratectomy and radial keratotomy, and an external wound.

L'invention concerne un inhibiteur de turbidité sous-epithéliale contenant comme principe actif un acide N-(3,4-diméthoxycinnamoyle)anthranilique représenté par la formule (I), ou bien ses sels acceptables pharmacologiquement, utile dans la thérapie cornéenne de réfraction, telle que le retrait de la partie antérieure de la cornée et la couverture de la zone dénudée avec une conjonctive bulbaire ou une kératotomie radiale, et dans la prévention ou la guérison d'une turbidité sous-épithéliale provoquée par des lésions accompagnées d'un trauma cornéen.
