A remedy for corneal diseases containing at least one member selected from among hexapeptides represented by the following general formula (I): A-B-Pro-C- D-E and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In said formula (I) A represents arginine or lysine with the terminal amino group thereof removed, alkylated or acylated; B represents arginine, lysine or histidine; Pro represents proline; C represents tyrosine, tryptophan or phenylalanine; D represents valine, isoleucine or leucine; and E represents valine, isoleucine or leucine with the terminal carboxyl group thereof substituted by -COOR, -CH2OR or CONHR, wherein R represents hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl.

Remède contre les affections cornéennes contenant au moins un élément choisi parmi des hexapeptides représentés par la formule générale suivante (I): A-B-Pro-C-D-E, ainsi que des sels et un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptables de ces derniers: A-B-Pro-C-D-E (I), dans laquelle A représente arginine ou lysine dont le groupe amino terminal a été enlevé, alkylé ou acylé; B représente arginine, lysine ou histidine; Pro représente proline; C représente tyrosine, tryptophane ou phénylalanine; D représente valine, isoleucine ou leucine; et E représente valine, isoleucine ou leucine dont le groupe carboxyle terminal est substitué par -COOR, -CH¿2?OR ou CONHR, R représentant hydrogène ou alkyle C¿1?-C¿4?.
