ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A corner guide device for use in the casement of a window or door has a housing 6, preferably manufactured from plastic, with legs 7 and 8 forming guides for a spring hinge 2 that has integral dogs 3,4,5. The leg 8 of the housing is provided with an outside base 18 and opens inwardly, whereas the leg 7 of the housing is provided with an inside base 19 and opens outwardly. In the corner area of the housing an installation opening is provided for the spring hinge 2. This installation opening can be closed by an angular cover 34. One leg of the housing 6 is inserted in the receiving groove of a casement piece whereas the other leg can be fixed to the edge strips of the associated receiving groove of an adjacent casement piece.
