There is provided an air compartment (18TE) of a corner windbox (16A, 16B, 16C, 16D) of a tangential firing system (10) of a fossil fuel-fired furnace (14) for injecting secondary air into the furnace (14). The air compartment (18TE) includes a channel portion (24) with an entrance end (30) communicating with an air delivery duct (26) and an exit end (32) communicating via an exit assembly (34) with the furnace opening (28). The exit assembly (34) includes at least one vane (36) for guiding an air stream and a mounting frame (42) for supporting the vane (36) relative to the channel portion (24) for guiding thereby of an air stream passing from the channel portion (24) through the furnace opening (28) into the furnace (14). The vane (36) includes a surface portion (38) which intersects the horizontal plane (HP) at an acute angle (AC) and a pair of opposed transverse edges (40A, 40B). The vane (36) and the mounting frame (42) are disposed within the channel portion (24) such that the leading edge (52) of the vane (36) is upstream of the furnace opening (28).
L'invention concerne un compartiment d'air (18TE) d'une caisse à vent cornière (16A, 16B, 16C, 16D) d'un système de chauffage tangentiel (10) d'un four (14) à combustible fossile afin d'injecter de l'air secondaire dans le four (14). Le compartiment d'air (18TE) comprend une partie de canal (24) présentant une extrémité d'entrée (30) communiquant avec un conduit (26) d'acheminement d'air, et une extrémité de sortie (32) communiquant par un ensemble de sortie (34) avec l'ouverture (28) du four. L'ensemble de sortie (34) comprend au moins une aube (36) destinée à guider un courant d'air ainsi qu'un cadre de montage (42) destiné à porter l'aube (36) par rapport à la partie de canal (24), permettant le guidage d'un courant d'air passant depuis la partie de canal (24), à travers l'ouverture (28) du four, jusque dans le four (14). L'aube (36) comprend une partie de surface (38) coupant le plan horizontal (HP) en un angle aigu (AC), ainsi qu'une paire de bords transversaux opposés (40A, 40B). L'aube (36) et le cadre de montage (42) sont disposés à l'intérieur de la partie de canal (24) de manière que le bord d'attaque (52) de l'aube (36) se trouve en amont de l'ouverture (28) du four.
