A power Generator for use in textile & machinery industries. A tunable pulse-width-modulated signal is connected to the gatings of IGBT to provide a power digital waveform at high frequency suitable for heavy duty corona surface treatment. Through the use of a high-Q snubbing circuit consisting of resistors, capacitors and diodes, a voltage of about 400 VDC is sent to a high ratio high frequency power transformer to deliver 10 kilovolts high voltage power output for corona treatment. The special feature of this generator is the digital automatic frequency follow-up and adjustment based on line speed variations, thus achieving the improved quality production.
