ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A member of a linear position measuring transducer is provided with a hole running parallel to its windings. Elements are inserted into the hole to expand or shorten the length of the transducer. Cutout slots are made between sections of the windings and the elements are introduced in- to the hole to alter the relative spacing between these winding sections.
