PATENT 39-0100.2110 CORRELATION DETECTING METHOD ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Correlation of a video signal having a chrominance component is detected by arithmetically combining three successive line intervals of the video signal to produce a first signal representing the sum of the chrominance components of those three line intervals, arithmetically combining at least two of those three line intervals to produce a second signal representing the difference between the chrominance components of such two line intervals; and determining the difference between the first and second signals to produce a correlation indication signal. -1- WSF8.1
